【摘要】:Theperformanceunderbendingandcompressionloadofathermoplasticplasticpipewalldesignobtainedbythismethodcanbeusedforthefollowing:5.1.1Todeterminethestiffnessofthepipewallsection.Thisisafunctionofthepipedimensions,thewalldesign,thearclengthtested,andthephysicalpropertiesofthematerialofwhichthepipeismade.5.1.2Tocomparethecharacteristicsofvariousthermoplasticpipewalldesigns.5.1.3Tocomparethecharacteristicsofvariousplasticsinpipeform.5.1.4Tostudytheinterrelationsofdimensions,materials,anddeformationpropertiesofthermoplasticpipedesigns.5.1.5Tomeasurethedeformationandload-resistanceatanyofseveralsignificanteventswhichmayoccurduringthetest.5.1.6Toprovideareasonablequalitycontrol/qualityassurancetestforverylargediameterplasticpipes.Thetime-dependentpipewallstiffnessofathermoplasticpipeobtainedbythistestmethodmayusedforthefollowing:5.2.1Topredicttheresidualstiffnessofthepipewallinbendingandcompressionatalltimesafterinitialloading.5.2.2Forpurposesofdesign,todetermineamodulusofrelaxationundersustainedloads.5.2.3Toquantifytheinfluenceofmaterialformulationsofthermoplasticsonthemodulusofrelaxation.5.2.4Tostudytheinfluenceofgeometricpatternsofwallprofilesonthemodulusofrelaxation.Thetime-independentreductionofwallthicknessatspringlinemaybeusedforthefollowing:5.3.1Forpipewallstiffness,toquantifytheefficiencyofallwallprofilesofanymaterialcompositionandagivengeometrywiththatofasoliduniformthicknesswall.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheload-deflectionbehaviorofthermoplasticpipewallsectionsunderparallelplateloadingconditions.Note18212;Thesearenotfullpipesectiontests,butpipewallsegmenttests.TheresultsofthesetestswillbedifferentfrompipestiffnesstestsperTestMethodD2412,althoughtheymaybeproportional.Thistestprovidesquitedifferentinformation,including,stressrelaxationunderconstantstrain,andcomparisonsofthefunctionandstiffnessofdifferentpipewalldesignsormaterials.1.2Thistestmethodcoversaloadingtestfordeterminingthewallstiffnessofathermoplastic-pipewallunderacombinedloadofbendingandcompression.Changesinpipewallprofilegeometryunderloadmayalsobedetermined.1.3Thistestmethodcoversthermoplasticpipe.1.4Thecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodarewallstiffnessandchangesinprofilewalldimensionsatspecificdeformations.1.5Thecharacteristicsdeterminedbythistestmethodarewallstiffness,profilewallefficiency,andforsomewallelementsstabilityatspecificStrainlevels.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.7Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotesandfootnotesthatprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.8Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
