【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheresistanceofmaterialsusedinprotectiveclothingtopenetrationbyblood-bornepathogensusingasurrogatemicrobeunderconditionsofcontinuousliquidcontact.Protectiveclothingmaterialpass/faildeterminationsarebasedonthedetectionofviralpenetration.1.1.1Thistestmethodisnotalwayseffectiveintestingprotectiveclothingmaterialshavingthick,innerlinerswhichreadilyabsorbtheliquidassayfluid.1.2Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytoallformsorconditionsofblood-bornepathogenexposure.Usersofthetestmethodshouldreviewmodesforworker/clothingexposureandassesstheappropriatenessofthistestmethodfortheirspecificapplications.1.3ThistestmethodhasbeenspecificallydefinedformodelingtheviralpenetrationofHepatitis(BandC)andHumanImmunodeficiencyVirusestransmittedinbloodandotherpotentiallyinfectiousbodyfluids.Inferencesforprotectionfromotherpathogensmustbeassessedonacase-by-casebasis.1.4Thistestmethodaddressesonlytheperformanceofmaterialsorcertainmaterialconstructions(forexample,seams)usedinprotectiveclothinganddeterminedtobeviralresistant.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddressthedesign,overallconstructionandcomponents,orinterfacesofgarmentsorotherfactorswhichmayaffecttheoverallprotectionofferedbytheprotectiveclothing.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Thisstandardgivesguidanceforidentifyingandinvestigatingspillage,leakageorbuild?upofcombustionproductsfromgas-firedappliancesinnon-domesticpremises.Itgivesrecommendationsfordeterminingthecombustionperformanceofsuchequipment,usingelectronicportablecombustiongasanalysers.Thisinvolvessamplingandmeasuringthecarbonmonoxide(CO)andcarbondioxide(CO)intheambientairandingas-firedappliancechimneys.Thisstandardisforusewithequipmentusing1st,2ndor3rdfamilygases.NOTE1Anoperativeattendingnon-domesticpremisesmightberequiredtoexaminestandardgas-firedapplianceswhicharedomesticorcommercialaswellascustomizedprocessplant/equipment.NOTE2Thisstandarddoesnotcovertheresponseofanemergencyserviceprovider(ESP)toagasemergency.ItalsodoesnotcoverproceduresforinvestigatingincidentsthatarereportableundertheReportingofInjuries,DiseasesandDangerousOccurrencesRegulations1995(RIDDOR)andtheGasSafety(Management)Regulations1996(GSMR).NOTE3Combustionproductsfromgas-firedappliancescontainaldehydesandoxidesofnitrogen(NOx),predominantlynitrogenmonoxide(nitricoxide,NO)andnitrogendioxide(NO).Althoughthisstandarddoesnotcoverthemeasurementofthesesubstances,quantitiesofsuchproductscouldbepresentintheairandcouldcauseharmandirritationtohumans.Forguidanceonthehealthconsiderationsassociatedwiththesecombustionproducts,seetheInstituteforEnvironmentandHealthassessment,Indoorairqualityinthehome:Nitrogendioxide,formaldehyde,volatileorganiccompounds,housedustmites,fungiandbacteria.
